Though the hybridized Air Jordan 6-17-23 has not achieved the same level of notoriety at the Spiz’ike or the 6 Rings, it does bring with it something that other mashed-up models don’t: Mike’s later designs. Last seen back in 2014, the model’s most famous rendition is set to return soon, with new official images of the Air Jordan 6-17-23 “Carmine” appearing on Nike servers this week.
As its name suggests, the pair features design cues from the Air Jordan 6, 17, and 23, the former of which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. It also brings the pair’s OG flavor, with Carmine back ends and mid panels. The forefoot, midsoles, and midfoot overlays present in black, resulting in an aesthetic akin to our recent “Black Carmine” Jordan 6 Concept, and the pair is capped off with the Air Jordan 6’s signature icy outsole pods at the forefoot.
