Though the Jordan 6 Rings doesn’t receive anywhere near the attention of it’s inspiring retros, it does still manage to make its mark on the market, mostly due to its holistic approach to the brand’s storied nostalgia. Not only does the silhouette borrow elements from Jordans 6 thru 12, it often sees itself dressed in colorways made famous by those retros. This time around it looks to the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” for inspiration, a sneaker white is not too far off from a retro release itself.
Like the OG, the pair presents a striking red upper in nubuck, while overlays pop in piercing white at the toe and heel. The Air Jordan 6 heel pull is a straight one-for-one, while accents borrowed from the 8 (tongue chenille and ankle strap), 11 (eyelet overlays), and 12 (upper lacestay) all come colored in the bloody hue. Midsoles take on an ominous black, while outsoles champion the Air Jordan 6’s unique sole segmentation to complete the design underfoot.
With the retro of the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” still months away, these might be a good substitute to carry you through the Winter. So if you’re feeling ’em, you can scoop up a pair right now, right here from Finish Line for a cool $170.
