Despite its global impact on fashion, culture, and a multitude of sports, Jordan Brand continues to be a basketball-obsessed institution. As such, it's on the constant pursuit of signing the game's best talent and developing the pinnacle of performance footwear for it. Since 2002, the Jordan Brand Classic has blended both efforts, showcasing the best high school hoopers, with some going on to have their own signature sneakers.
Today, the iconic event returns to the city that saw its founding: Washington D.C. The Jordan Brand Classic's 23rd edition, then, is a full-circle moment.
A hub for fashion, culture, and competition in its own right, the nation's capital also saw Michael Jordan close out his professional NBA career over two decades ago, making its connection to His Airness long-standing.
The event takes place at CareFirst Arena (1100 Oak Dr SE) between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets to the Jordan Brand Classic '25 can be purchased here for just $23.
Talent that's participated in previous editions of the showcase include Carmelo Anthony (2002) and Zion Williamson (2018). Today's event will see the former's son, Kiyan, demonstrate why he's considered one of the country's best players. Other hoopers featured on the Boys' team include: Caleb Wilson, AJ Dybantsa, and CJ Ingram.
The Jordan Brand Classic also provides a platform for top girl basketball athletes. For this year's edition, attendees will be treated to performances by Nyla Brooks, Nylah Wilson, Hailee Swain, and Grace Knox. The full list of both teams is found below.
For those who won't be in Washington D.C. today to experience the games, livestreams for both Boys and Girls showcases will take place via the official NBA YouTube Channel.
There's no telling what will take place throughout this year's Jordan Brand Classic, but what's certain is that the event is a masterclass in not only empowering youth, but also bringing communities together around something inspiring.
