Over the next two months, Jordan Brand will pay homage to the original “flight suits” that Mike wore during his 1984 rookie season and later in the memorable ad campaigns throughout the Air Jordan line’s original run.
It begins this Saturday with the all-red suede “Flight Suit, West” this Saturday and ends with the blue counterpart “Flight Suit, East” on September 30th. The black Pinnacle edition and retro-inspired “Cement” will also release alongside the two marquis releases.
I love Jordan Brand’s photoshoot, it takes me back down memory lane to an old sporting goods store, where back in 86-1990, you could just walk in and pick up a pair of J’s – no sell outs, no hype, and a with much lower price tag.
There’s no word yet on a drop of the actual flight suits, but here’s hoping they release alongside each sneaker drop. If there is any further developments on those, you’ll be sure to find it right here on the House of Heat.
