Jordan Brand Turned Mike's "Ugly Sweater" Into a Golf Bag
Jordan Brand continues to blur the lines between heritage and sport with its latest off-course essential: a Jordan Fadeaway Golf Bag clad in the unmistakable “Ugly Sweater” print. Famously worn by Michael Jordan in the lead-up to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the vibrant, abstract pattern also appeared on the tongue of the Air Jordan 7 — a design that has since become synonymous with early ‘90s Jordan style.
The pattern has graced many retros and apparel pieces, but a golf bag? As unexpected as it sounds, the crossover is more connected than most realize. Two notable images come to mind; A now-iconic photo of MJ cleaning his golf clubs while wearing the “Ugly Sweater” cemented the print’s place in Jordan lore, but Mike wearing those shorts on the course makes this design a fitting tribute to his style and love of the game.

The Jordan Fadeaway Golf Bag continues to offer top-tier functionality with a 6-way full-length divider system, ergonomic carrying straps, and velour-lined pockets for valuables. It also boasts details pulled from Air Jordan sneakers, like a towel ring inspired by the AJ14 and a lace-lock umbrella cinch that nods to the AJ6.
There’s no release date yet for the Jordan Fadeaway Golf Bag “Ugly Sweater,” but expect a drop in the coming months via Nike.com.
