Luka Dončić Unveils His Jordan Luka 5; "Venom" Pair Debuts Jan. 8, 2026

Luka Dončić is a bad, bad man. However, this holiday season, the Los Angeles Lakers guard is looking to make amends with those he's wronged by gifting them debut pairs of his fifth signature basketball shoe—the aptly-named Jordan Luka 5.

Playing off the concept central to The Trial of Luka Dončić ad that highlighted the Jordan Luka 4, Michael Jordan's eponymous label introduces its latest design for the Slovenian star via the Bad Luka! Nice Shoes campaign.

The idea behind Jordan Brand's new campaign for Dončić is that the nicest thing about him is his shoes. As such, the 26-year-old NBA player reflects on his personality, ultimately choosing to make peace with figures he's clashed with—Adrian “Woj” Wojnarowski, Boban Marjanović, and referees—by writing them an apology letter and gifting them a pair of his Luka 5.

The Luka 5 debuts in a "Venom" colorway that sees "Illusion Green" and "Black" come together across a design that's visually not too different from its direct predecessor. A breathable base layer is protected with fuse material around the toe and along the tongue, as well as by a rail system (ISOband) along the profiles. A full-length Zoom Strobel cushioning solution provides enhanced pop, catering to the shiftiness of Dončić's game.

"Working with Jordan Brand on the Luka 5 was about making something that fits my game and keeps evolving with me. Every time I lace them up, I know I’m ready to go," shared Dončić.

The Luka 5 "Venom" kicks off the model's run on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, via Nike.com/Jordan and a wide array of retailers. Men's sizes of the new basketball sneaker retail for $135, while special editions are priced at $145. Big and Little Kids' pairs of the "Illusion Green/Black" color scheme will launch, too.
