Velvet and velour seem to be the in-vogue material this autumn, with everything from the Nike Dunk Low to the Air Jordan 1 dressed in the plush, sleek fabrication. Joining what is now becoming an extensive series of sneakers is this Jordan Series “Gold Velvet” which, much like the others revealed for the season have shown, boasts a simple white and one-color approach.

True to the pair’s title, the release is delivered muted yellow velvet, with tonal tongues and liners joined by flat stain laces — a signature of the series. Here, there’s just one accompanying color, white, that hits the tongue tags, midfoot “Jordan Series,” branding, and midsole wrap, before returning to golden the forefoot Jumpman motif and outsole tread to complete the design.
