It's no secret that Nike, Inc. is self-referential. With an archive the size of over a handful of U.S. football fields, the Oregon-based conglomerate has plenty of ideas to pull from. For its latest Jordan Spizike Low, the company has revisited 1989's original Air Jordan 4.

Officially clad in a Chicago Bulls-friendly "Black/Wolf Grey/White/Gym Red" color scheme, the latest entry in Spike Lee's hybrid series bears too close a resemblance to Tinker Hatfield's inaugural "Bred" AJ4 design to be a coincidence. Inherently, the Spizike references the beloved fourth Air Jordan, lending a number of design cues to the mish-mash offering.

The newly-surfaces style sees a predominantly "Black" finish across its upper. A variety of materials and textures keeps things interesting, while speckled flaps at the profiles and ruby-colored components reinforce the connection to the '89 release.

Enjoy detailed photos of the heritage-inspired Spizike Low ahead. Pairs are expected to release via Nike.com/Jordan over the next few months.
