
Fans of the Bronx Bombers might not be treated to as many World Series wins as they'd like, but they're constantly given sneaker styles to match their New York Yankees gear. The latest example arrives in the form of a Jordan Spizike Low.
An update to Spike Lee's iconic hybrid design from 2006, the low-top option has taken on a number of colorways reminiscent of the original's debut run. A newly-surfaced pair of Lee's non-Air Jordan model indulges in a clean 'White/Midnight Navy/Cement Grey' color scheme. The color-blocking is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 3 'True Blue' from 1988, but the hits of blue that take over the midsole, TPU wings at the profiles, and pull tab at the heel are much darker. Details on the tongue also enjoy the 'Midnight Navy' makeover; inner-lining follows suit.
The forthcoming Spizike Low isn't a Yankees-collaboration, its color combination matches the team's Nike-branded uniforms. Derek Jeter also formed part of the Jordan Brand family, which could have played a role in the pair's look.
