Jordan Brand‘s signature line has inspired countless models over the years, from famous hybrids like the Spiz’ike and Dub Zero, to its own marquee numbered series (think the Air Jordan 7 that inspired the current Air Jordan 37.) It’s also used elements of past designs to influence new lifestyle models that incorporate modern tech — like the Jordan Mars 270. It’s newest, the Jordan Stadium 90, follows this trend, as it borrows big from the Air Jordan 5 — a sneaker released back in 1990 (hence the new model’s title)
The pair is packed with Tinker Hatfield’s original inspiration, including padded collars, netted midfoot panels, sharp forefoot teeth, and Nike Air branding in the back. That being said, it’s also equipped with modern and refined lines, in-vogue suede overlays, and an organic shape that contradicts the initial release. All of this comes together on the brand’s new Formula 23 cushioning underfoot to complete the design.
