A rare Air Jordan 11 sample tied to Tinker Hatfield has resurfaced on Tinker's birthday, offering a closer look at an alternate direction for the model.
The pair features a full leather upper in place of the traditional mesh build, giving it a softer, more premium feel. Along the base, the mudguard carries a metallic finish that shifts depending on lighting — appearing chrome indoors and taking on a subtle purple or copper tint in natural light.
Underfoot, the shoe is fitted with a fully translucent outsole. Inside, the insoles display sketch-style graphics pulled directly from Tinker Hatfield’s original design work on the silhouette.
Additional details include modified branding elements and sample-specific tags, reinforcing its one-off nature. The overall finish leans slightly more rustic compared to retail pairs, suggesting this was part of an early design phase rather than a finalized product.
The pair is currently a sample and isn’t expected to release, but that could always change. Jordan Brand has a history of revisiting older samples—like the Air Jordan 3 “Orange Citrus,” originally from 2007, which is available now.
