Jordan Brand continues to spread Michael Jordan's winning legacy through a number of products and initiatives—including the World of Flight retail experience. Following the largest storefront dedicated to "His Airness" in Latin America opening last year, the company will open up shop in Philadelphia.
World of Flight in the "City of Brotherly Love" had been a long-standing rumor, but its grand opening finally takes place on Friday, Oct. 10. The shop, located at 1617 Walnut Street, marks the first stateside World of Flight location, marking a conscious effort from the Nike, Inc. team to grow the Jordan Brand business across the U.S.; Philly is the place in which MJ played his final professional basketball game and it's also home of the Philadelphia Eagles, an NFL franchise that's seeing Jalen Hurts carry on the Jumpman on the U.S. football gridiron.
"I think it is amazing that Jordan Brand chose Philadelphia for its first World of Flight store in the U.S. — it is a city that has shown me so much love and deserves the best," said Hurts. "Jordan Brand has done so much work supporting youth and organizations in the Philadelphia community over the last 10 years, and now World of Flight is going to be a special experience for everybody that comes through."

Community-oriented initiatives like the Wings Scholars program originated in Philadelphia; outreach will continue now that a permanent "flag" from Team Jumpman is located in the city.
If you're in the area, Jordan Brand's World of Flight Philadelphia store opens on Friday, Oct. 10, at 1617 Walnut Street. A public block party will take place beginning at 4 p.m. with special guests being expected to attend.
