Jordan Brand is no stranger to the gridiron, but the last few years have seen the basketball-centric imprint delve into the world of U.S. football more and more. Recently, the Jordan Stadium 90 Low lifestyle sneaker emerged as a pair of cleats for the sport.
Informed by the iconic Air Jordan 5 debuted in 1990, the silhouette adds another tally to the expansive list of non-Air Jordan designs. The pair's accessible price point and retro-inspired elements won over skeptics early on, but remaining naysayers may be convinced to check out the pair with its newly-surfaced "White/New Emerald/Black/Grape Ice" color scheme.
Rooted in the legendary "Grape" style co-signed by Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the impending pair of football cleats repackage heritage for not only a new audience but also a whole new sport. Shark teeth-inspired details on the lateral quarter panel indulge in "New Emerald" flair, as do components along and behind the tongue. The stud plate underfoot deviates to full "Grape Ice" flavor, matching the profile swooshes and tongue. The remainder of the performance-oriented product keeps things simple in "White/Black," helping create a clear through-line to the original "Grape" AJ5.
Enjoy official photos of the latest Stadium 90 Low TD ahead. Pairs should release via Nike.com/Jordan by October for $135.
