Jordan Brand’s newest hybrid model is wasting no time with its colorways, with this Jordan Two Trey “Bred” continuing a running theme of borrowed parts.
Bringing in elements of the Air Jordan 6 thru 14 (minus the 10) the pair serves as a direct nod to the championship sneakers worn by Mike during his six Finals wins. You’ll note some obvious elements, like Air Jordan 11-inspired mudguards formed at the toe in the shape of the 12, Air Jordan 6 and 7 overlays at the midfoot and ankle, and Air Jordan 6 chenille tongue tags. Sole units take on a true hybrid approach by ushering in elements of the 6, 11, 12, and 14 — and there’s a lot more to be found throughout.
Though it’s not a one-for-one of an original black and red colorway, it — like the model itself — borrows from classics like the Air Jordan 6 and AIr Jordan 11; it even has a profile comparison to the fan-favorite “Cap and Gown” colorway, thanks to its icy outsole. For the most part, though, the pair sticks to jet black, with pops of red at the brandmarks and medial forefoot of the oputsole.
