The Air Jordan 1 Low "Teal Velvet" Drops December 1

Jordan Brand has always had a knack for delighting its younger sneaker enthusiasts with exclusive designs, and this season is no different. Drawing inspiration from the plush past, this recent iteration of the kids-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Low remembers a fan-favorite release from last decade.

The pair immediately conjures memories of the 2016 kids-exclusive Air Jordan 1 "Heiress" – a marvel wrapped in rich maroon velvet with hints of gold branding. But while the "Heiress" reveled in its deep maroon elegance, this new release dances in a lighter spectrum, swathed in luscious teal velvet.

Surrounding this plush fabric, smooth leather makes its presence known, strategically placed around the toe, elongating up the tongue, and stretching across the heel. These leather portions add durability to the design and break the velvet monotony, creating a balanced, aesthetic appeal. The gold finish on the branding — evident on the tongue and sidewalls — introduces a regal contrast to the teal. A touch of luxury, the "Wings" emblems on the heel's spine also gleam in gold.

While the velvet doesn't extend underfoot, the design doesn't lose its touch there. The crisp white midsole serves as a clean break, leading down to an outsole that dives back into the titular teal, creating a cohesive look from top to bottom.
