Videogame themes are running rife through Jordan Brand’s kid’s releases, with this new Air Jordan 12 “Emoji” bringing a retro video game vibe to the silhouette.

Joining the recently seen Jordan 1 Low “Glitch” and a slew of impending 8-Bit-themed apparel, this new kids-exclusive release borrows in-game relics like grapes, potion bottles, diamonds and trophies to decorate the pair’s interior. On the outside, you’ll note a simple heart and trophy at the lateral ankle that defines Mike’s love for the game. It’s design hams up MJ’s connection to UNC, with white leather uppers and striking University Blue overlays, outsoles, and more. Underfoot, there’s a Lemon Venom twist, with the audacious hue hitting the outsole herringbone tread and toe Jumpman to complete the design.

At the time of publication, a release for the Air Jordan 12 “Emoji” has been set for June 1st, though the brand is yet to confirm these dates. Until then, enjoy a first look at the pair here below, and with more details to follow, you’ll want to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for updates.
