Michael Jordan’s twelfth signature sneaker has played a consistent role in the brand’s storied success over the early stages of this century, with each year sprouting a handful of releases to keep the fans happy — and, more importantly, to maintain the silhouette’s relevancy. 2023 will see the silhouette pay tribute to one of Mike’s earliest NBA rivals with the Air Jordan 12 “Lakers” (Field Purple)
Citing that, the release will take on a predominantly black build, with Field Purple, Metallic Gold, and Taxi Yellow accents. The pair will arrive in the famed "Flu Game" blocking, with Metallic Gold accents on the eyestays, tumbled black leather uppers, and tows of the titular purple hue — the pair is said to be inspired by Gary Payton's "Lakers" PE.
The pair is currently expected to arrive on August 12th.
