Jordan Brand’s epic “Fearless Ones” collaborative capsuleis chock-full of creativity. From the vividly-colored Blue the Great take to the mismatched Melody Ehsani makeup, Jordan Brand has really let the creators spread their wings. Parisian-based Maison Château Rouge has gone all-out too, but has forgone the vibrant palates of the aforementioned pairs, instead of focusing on detail, texture, and material. It’s still colorful, of course — after all, MCR co-founder Youssouf Fofana is known for his frequent use of vibrant colors — but the saturations have been turned down a notch in favor of muted blues and earthy brown, yellow, and sail; the inspiration coming from his African roots.

Smooth leather throats along with buttery tumbled leather mid panels, lacestay overlays, and toe boxes provide a familiar feel, but it’s the mix of intricate patterns on the toe, forefoot, heel, collar and Swoosh overlays that take center stage. Tack-on Wings and exposed stitching across the tongue further push the cultural theme, and the pair comes completes with MCR branding on the heels, FEAR-branded insoles, and special-edition packaging.
