ESPN have reported that Carmelo Anthony’s signature sneaker deal with Jordan Brand has come to an end after 13 models and 15 seasons in the NBA.

Whilst this isn’t the best news for Melo heading ointo the season – I dont think he will mind all too much. I mean, the dude looks to be having the most fun on the court in years – and thats what it’s all about. A happy Melo is an entertaining Melo both on and off the hardwood.

Plus, Anthony still remains a key Jordan Brand athlete – so you can expect some killer retro’s on court in a killer mix of OKC Blue, Orange and Black/Navy. And who knows – with next year’s retro of the “Melo” Air Jordan 2, we could see it drop in a special pack with a fresh new Oklahoma colorway (here’s hoping anyway!)

    UPDATE 10.11.17

Jordan Brand has released the following with regards to Melo’s signature shoe:

“Melo is a long-time and respected member of the Jordan family. As is the case with all Jordan family athletes, we work together with Melo on a footwear plan each year, and no decisions have been finalized about future models. Any decision made will be a collaborative one between Melo and Jordan Brand.”

#HoodieMelo won’t be rocking a M14 next year, but we’re still excited about the prospect of some fresh new OKC-inspired Jordan retros.
