Fresh off the rumor mill.
One of the very first pairs of the Air Jordan 1 that Mike had back in 1985 were a never-to-hit-retail black-tongued “Black Toe” Air Jordan 1. For the past 33 years, sneakerheads have patiently been waiting for a retrospective release of the sample, which is high up on the grail list for many.
Well, you can rejoice, because today we come bearing some good (and bad) news.
It looks like, from all reports and factory images, that the release will finally be happening.
The bad news? It’s a Fragment collaboration, meaning the numbers would be limited, and resale prices will be sky-friggen-high, should a release occur.
This would be the follow up to their 2014 collaboration, which used the exact same color blocking, with the OG red swapped out for Royal,
Original Air Jordan 1 Black Toe from 1985
Release details are yet to be provided, but the Fragment x Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” is speculated to release in 2019.
Stay tuned for more!
