The latest edition of the Ryder Cup kicks off on Friday, Sept. 26, and runs until Sunday, Sept. 28. Held at Bethpage State Park Golf in Farmingdale, New York, the contest between Team USA and Team Europe promises to deliver memorable moments, which already began thanks to respective captains Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald wearing Player-Exclusive (PE) pairs of the Air Jordan 1 Low Golf shoe.

Inspired by Michael Jordan's love of the sport and acknowledgment of the competition's importance, the special footwear duo is only Jordan Brand's most recent foray into the world of golf. Over the last few years, handfuls of Air Jordan designs modified for the green have released, allowing athletes to enjoy number 23's winning legacy on the golf course instead of the basketball hardwood. Bradley and Donald's pairs, however, won't see any retail launch. Instead, they'll go down as some of the rarest footwear styles of all-time.

Fittingly, each Ryder Cup team captain's shoe takes on his team's colors. A series of patent leather overlays see red-and-blue animate Bradley's AJ1 Low while Donald's sees a lighter blue-and-yellow makeover inspired by the flag of Europe. Both options feature images of the State of Liberty as a nod to the event's location on Long Island, as well as Ryder Cup logos on the tongue.

Enjoy detailed shots of the Air Jordan 1 duo ahead. For more footwear news from the Nike, Inc. family, check out the latest Air Max releases.
