Everyone into sports remembers Mike’s return to the NBA in 1995. Most remember the switch to the number 45, but for sneakerheads, it was the Concord Jordan 11 that stole the show.
Tinker Hatfield’s favourite sneaker of all-time returns in all of it’s OG glory — including the original #45 in place of the now accustomed #23. The sneaker made waves when it hit the hardwood in 1995, because the sneaker had some never-before-seen elements, including a carbon fibre outsole and it’s iconic patent leather and mesh upper.
Mike and the Bulls went on a (then) record-breaking 72-10 season and winning the NBA Championship, cementing the Jordan 11 as an instant classic.
This year’s retro of the Air Jordan 11 Concord drops on December 8. Stay tuned for more, as we’re sure there’s more to come.
