With a loaded lineup including colorways like the “Infrared”, “Zen Master” and “Olive Canvas”to name a few, you wouldn’t imagine that 2022 couldn’t get any better for the Air Jordan 4. But new rumors sparked by sneaker-insider @Mr_Unloved1s has trumped everything before it, with the source hinting at a retail release of the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4 for 2022.
The first sneaker boutique to get an exclusive collaboration with Jordan Brand, the pair was released in extremely limited quantities back in 2005. Only 72 pairs were produced, with some released during an in-store raffle, as well as one full-size run via online auction. The shoe implements a classic Undefeated military aesthetic inspired by the MA-1 Flight Jacket, featuring an olive nubuck application throughout the upper, with black and orange accents throughout. A Velcro tongue patch is included to resonate with flight jacket styling.
New samples of the release surfaced in 2017/18, but a release did not eventuate. Now fresh rumors have the pair eyeing a retail release in 2022, which we can only hope turn out to be true.
Though rumors can often be quashed, you’ll want to make sure your ears are perked up for further developments — so be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for updates. Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the 2005 release below, courtesy of GOAT.
