Since the early 2000s, Jordan Brand has been experimenting with Patent Leather on the Air Jordan 1 And. while the popularity has fluctuated over the last two decades, there is no doubt that right now it’s back in vogue — We can thank last year’sComplexCon-exclusive “Top Three” Patent Leather for that. Even the follow up “Gold Toe” pairs are still fetching a pretty penny in the aftermarket.

But, for a lot of us who can’t obtain these rare gems, there’s thankfully a takedown version touching down in 2019.
