Fear: My Bank Balance in 2019.

Last week we previewed a “Bred” rendition of the Jordan ’89 Racer, a sleek trainer heavily influenced by 1989’s Air Jordan 4. Considering we’re getting a retro of the “Bred” Air Jordan 4 as well, it seemed only fitting we’d get a partnering pair of Racers. So when this “Fear” colorway surfaced today, it took me 0.0001 of a second to manifest a potential co-release in my mind.

Perhaps it’s hot on my mind after reliving the Jordan Brand’s Fear campaign through my recent Air Jordan 12 concept.

While it is unlikely that 2014’s “Fear” Air Jordan 4 will be returning, the Racer itself is still crisp enough for a cop. The design is sleek, and with it’s black and white colorway, you can’t go wrong. For you gym rats, it’s a perfect go-to trainer because, one, You don’t have to beat up your retros, and two, they’re black so that they won’t look rank after just two wears.

As for a release of the “Fear” Jordan 89 Racer? It’s still TBA, so stay tuned for more! Until the news breaks, enjoy a look at the full set of official images, courtesy of Nike.
