This weekend, an original 1990 prototype colorway that never made it to retail finally arrives nearly three decades later.

That sneaker is the Air Jordan 5 “Satin,” which arrives in the classic Jordan mix of black and red, like the OG sample; but instead of the original suede, it comes draped in a silky black satin draped upper, and is paired with a red speckled midsole. The iconic 3M reflective tongues, translucent mesh netting and outsole round out the design.
