With Teddy Santis at the helm as both the founder of Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) and the creative director of New Balance's MADE In USA line, the synergy between the two has cultivated one of the most robust brand-collaborator dynamics in the sneaker industry. This partnership continues to flourish, as evidenced by introducing two new colorways of the New Balance 475, aimed at amplifying the silhouette's resurgence.
The new iterations of the New Balance 475 were recently unveiled through Aimé Leon Dore’s channels. The first, a grey/green colorway, was teased by Santis on social media earlier this year, and it remains true to our initial glimpses. This model showcases intricately stitched New Balance logos on the quarter panels and a pre-aged leather backtab, encapsulating a vintage aesthetic that has become synonymous with ALD’s releases.
The second colorway introduces a more complex and colorful palette, reminiscent of the highly acclaimed multi-colored ALD x New Balance 997 pack from 2019. This version features a playful mix of blue, navy, yellow, and red accents, presenting a preppy and eclectic vibe that's both eye-catching and stylish.
While broad release details are still under wraps, select Aimé Leon Dore customers have reportedly received early access via email. Expect that a wider release will go public soon.
