After a slew of teasers and tantalizers over the last few weeks, Aimé Leon Dore has officially unveiled its Fall/Winter 2019 New Balance campaign, titled “Life In The Balance.” There is, of course, an epic collection of collaborative apparel, but the collection is championed by its two footwear options — a New Balance 990v2 and New Balance 990v5.

The collection calls upon the colors, sights, and sounds of a trip from New York City to the lush forests of upstate New York State — a perfect balance between city and provincial life. Views of the concrete jungle more evident in the v2, which utilizes greys and cool blues popped with vibrant yellow and warms hues of white. Just as you move north along the 684, the v5 gets richer and greener — and calmer — with the silhouette utilizing more greens and blues, along with more simplified color blocking to really mimic the upstate state of mind. Completing the design are small Aimé Leon Dore-branded tags appear beneath the ankle, a subtle reminder of the shoes’ collaborative nature.
