Spain’s Athletic Bilbao Get Their Own New Balance 1500

New Balance continues to celebrate their partnerships with world-renowned football clubs in 2019, with a special edition Athletic Club (Athletic Bilbao) New Balance 1500. It follows in the footsteps of collaborative pairs released earlier this year with UK club Liverpool and Irish powerhouse Celtic, but unlike the other pairs which arrive on retooled silhouettes, Bilbao’s offering is gifted a retrospective classic; the 1500.

In reference to both the Bilbao-based club’s 2019/20 away jersey and the flag of their native Basque region, the sneaker is dressed in a combo of dark green, white and red. Other details include gold touches towards the toe box and on the “N” branding, as well as a three-toned outsole in white, grey and black.
