Joe Freshgoods will return to New Balance for his fourth footwear collection, with the Chicago creative taking to the ‘gram to reveal an upcoming three-pair pack dubbed the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 993 “Performance Art: Made To Wear Well” collection.
The trio of shoes is linked by light grey mesh uppers, aged-look accents at the laces and midsoles, and rich pastel suede and perforated leather overlays. It’s the latter that differentiates the pairs, with pink, green, and blue hues flushing their respective pairs; midsole trim and rubber outsoles all arrive in-line with their respective colors overlays up top. Each comes attached with a “Performance Art” card, explaining the ethos behind the design.

Update 10.05.22 Before pairs rollout at global stockists, Joe Freshgoods and his New Balance 993 “Performance Art” collection will be released first at Chicago’s Every Now & Then via raffle. Entrants are required to bring a new or gently used book, and /or art supplies, which will be donated to Community Goods and other nonprofit organizations, schools, and daycares in Chicago.
