New Balance's 1906L Sneaker-Loafer Surfaces in Clean "Khaki"
While divisive, the New Balance 1906L kicked-off a sneaker-loafer trend that's produced some of the scene's more questionable designs of the last year-and-a-half. The pioneer recently emerged in a tonal "Khaki" finish, showcasing how it's done.
Having already launched in China, the pair is expected to release stateside by the beginning of autumn. Its clean, off-white look offers versatility seen on most other 1906L styles by New Balance. The slip-on silhouette dons breathable mesh with performance-informed overlays throughout the profiles. Its sole unit nods to the NB 860v2, and enjoys faux-aged elements for an elevated ensemble. As is the case with most other takes on the retro runner, the outsole keeps things simple in all-black.
