New Balance 1906R “Pink Taffy” Readies for Summer Release

New Balance continues its impressive GR run with the upcoming release of the 1906R in a new “Pink Taffy” colorway. With no collab or gimmick in sight, this general release proves that the brand’s in-line offerings are capable of holding their own.

The upper blends a breathable black mesh with glossy Eclipse-toned leather overlays that create just enough shine without going over the top. Subtle cement-grey trims break up the dark palette, while “Pink Taffy” accents are used sparingly but effectively to inject summer-ready energy. You’ll spot the soft pink hue on the tongue mesh, liner, outsole, and trim hits across the forefoot and heel.

All the usual 1906R features are intact—from the segmented N-ergy sole unit to the familiar midfoot cage and comfort-first build. While there’s nothing radically new here, this is one of those rare cases where clean execution does all the heavy lifting.
