A Clean “Blue/Grey” Look Lands on the New Balance ABZORB 2000
The vis-tech wave continues at New Balance, with the brand’s progressive ABZORB 2000 silhouette now arriving in a clean “Blue/Grey” edition. The latest drop follows the recently-released “Blue Agate” pair and builds on the model’s steady stream of tonal colorways this year.
Unlike previous versions, the New Balance ABZORB 2000 “Blue/Grey” introduces a more balanced dual-tone layout. Light sky-blue mesh covers the base, contrasted by metallic grey fused overlays that give the pair a layered, tech-runner aesthetic. Crisp white laces and N-logos offer a neutral hit, while the tongue tag and sockliner branding reflect a subtle nod to the 2000s era that inspired the model.
Underfoot, the sneaker stays true to form with its bulbous segmented ABZORB SBS midsole, finished in a mix of off-white and smoky charcoal grey. Grip zones on the outsole and Stability Web midfoot tech round out the performance-informed design. Altogether, it’s a polished look that feels modern while clearly anchored in the retro-futurism of the early aughts.
The New Balance ABZORB 2000 “Blue/Grey” is expected to release in October 2025 via NewBalance.com and select retailers for $170.
