New Balance has been around for over a century, but you'd think it was just starting out as a company by how much product it churns out. The last handful of years have seen the Massachusetts-based institution take over sneaker rotations across the globe – namely with compelling collaborations, but also with impressive inline offerings. Its highly-technical, future-forward New Balance 2000 silhouette is a perfect example of the latter.

Unveiled on-the-ground in Brazil, the land where vis-tech (visible technology) footwear rules, the model deviates from the design cues often associated with the North American company. Like the Kith x New Balance 2010, however, the NB 2000 repurposes heritage elements for a sportier, modern look. At first glance, the impending design resembles the Joe Freshgoods-approved New Balance 9060. Its mixed-materials upper is firmly rooted in performance running research, but the exaggerated ABZORB cushioning underfoot brings a lifestyle spin to the sports-informed upper.

Sole Retriever recently shared a first-look at the model's 'Dragon Berry' colorway, which should follow-up the sneaker's debut 'Ice Blue' finish. 'Black/Metallic Silver' also join the mix across the vibrant pink option. The visible ABZORB units keep things understated in terms of color, but their proportions battle for the spotlight either way.

Enjoy additional photos of the unreleased NB 2000 ahead. Firm NewBalance.com release details remain under wraps, but that's expected to change as the holiday season inches closer.
