This Fit-For-Fall New Balance 991 is Available Now

Though it gets a little less love than its 990 and 992 sisters, the New Balance 991 has had quite a strong year in 2021. With all the focus shifted to the 990 line’s newest model, fans of the 991 have been treated to a few low-key killers that have snuck through to retailers. This elegant option is a prime example of that, with a Fall-friendly scheme that’s easy enough to slot into any end-of-year rotation.

Anchored in an olive mesh, the pair then presents a smorgasbord of suede overlays. Starting from light browns at the toe, the pair then moves onto dark chocolate at the midfoot, before reaching golden yellow and light beige at the back. The profile guards are tinted in a muted maroon to compliment the gold and green to perfection. Standard silver and white N motifs return at the midfoot, as does the customary grey eyestays, heel panel, and rear clip. The latter slots into a cream and white midsole, and just above a solid black rubber outsole which completes the design.
