The New Balance ABZORB 2000 Kicks Off 2026 with Tonal "Metallic" Finishes

New Balance's futuristic ABZORB 2000 design had a slower launch year than many netizens expected, but it isn't wasting any time getting on 2026 Release Calendars.

Before the new year's first month ends, two new takes on the aggressive, running-inspired silhouette will release. "Silver Metallic" and "Black Metallic" finishes take over every part of the NB 2000s, falling in line with much of the model's inaugural drops. What stands out from the impending duo, then, is the reworked paneling across the upper. While still busy, the sneaker's top-half sees new curved plastic overlays along both profiles. The detail complements the ABZORB unit underfoot, doubling-down on the sporty aesthetic.
