New Balance Presents the AC Runner, a Sneaker for Performance & Style

Throughout its history, New Balance has proven itself time and time again within the realm of running. Over the last few years, the brand's line of training and road racing options have become popular amongst more casual athletes. Some of the technology that's worked in designs like the FuelCell Rebel and 1080 series has appeared in other lines—including the all-new AC Runner.

Scheduled to debut globally on Jan. 1, 2026, the New Balance AC Runner deviates from aesthetics prevalent across the world of contemporary performance runners. The silhouette's sculpted mesh upper indulges in heritage seen on sneakers like the NB 204L, but its presentation and build deliver a modern, sportier finish. The breathable top-half sits atop three different densities of Fresh Foam X material, promising a responsive and comfortable ride. Firm guidance rails along the sides further enhance the underfoot feel of the shoe, which features ample traction.

The AC Runner's look has been carefully crafted to be able to perform when needed while also looking in place in more casual settings.
