It's official: Andrew Reynolds is set to debut the New Balance Numeric 933 soon.

In early January, the 40-something-year-old professional skateboarder took to Instagram to post a photo of his foot on a high-tech scanner. Playfully making reference to 50 Cent's "In Da Club" music video, Reynolds teased being in the lab for the creation of New Balance's next skateboarding silhouette. Models like the 480 have already gotten the approval of diehard skaters, but the brand's upcoming 933 favors running heritage instead of basketball.

An early teaser image of the unreleased sneaker showcases an autumn-ready color palette and 933 text in the same style as New Balance's Made in USA 990 range (helmed by Aimé Leon Dore's Teddy Santis since 2021). Midsole cushioning appears far more plush than on other NB# product, suggesting the skate shoe features FuelCell foam akin to the Action Bronson-approved New Balance 990v6. Thrasher Magazine's March 2025 cover delivers an early glimpse of the sneaker's outsole, which caters specifically to the needs of skaters like Reynolds.

"For me, being a skater in my forties, the wrong shoes will hurt my whole body. So, it’s very important to me that I can make something to avoid that," said Reynolds in an official press release shared with House of Heat°. "I want to be able to skate with youthfulness. If I take part in designing something that is going to help that, then I think, why not?"

To this end, the legendary skater worked with a team of scientists at New Balance's Boston labs to create an ABZORB midsole unlike anything seen in previous skate shoes. Two different densities of foam were co-molded (without glue) to provide unparalleled comfort even across long, tough sessions. TPU support across the profiles also assist with aggressive lateral and medial movements.

Other performance-informed elements tested ad nauseam by Reynolds include: NDurance rubber outsoles, adhered toecaps, FantomFit technology across the upper, and New Balance's Controlled Reaction Device around the heel.

Enjoy detailed shots of Numeric's inaugural 933 collection below, as well as campaign photos of Reynolds himself. The all-new skate shoe is scheduled to hit NewBalance.com on Monday, April 28, for $130.
