With the popularity of New balance reaching unprecedented rights, the century-old brand is seemingly rolling out new models quicker than ever before. The newest to join the extensive NB catalog is this tennis-inspired New Balance CT302, which ushers in elements from the low-range lifestyle CRT300 and the iconic New Balance 320 from 1972.
Though the release is heavily focused on a retro tennis shoe aesthetic, the pair does pull in elements from the retro 70s runner, namely the oversized midfoot N’s, and the iconic two-pronged suede toe overlays. The latter s bolstered by multiple overlays, in almost a Shell Toe-like guard which links into a solid platform sole underfoot. Back up top, the use of thick white leathers and simplistic overlays return to the court, while exposed foam tongues only further the retro appeal of this new — likely women’s exclusive — design.
