The New Balance KAWHI “Seismic” Releases November 11
Kawhi Leonard put on a clinic last night in the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, dropping 30 points and raking in 7 boards, picking up the inaugural Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP award. And he did it all in his debut New Balance KAWHI signature sneaker.
New Balance couldn’t have asked for a better introduction.
The brand had dropped a teaser image mere minutes before the Klaw stepped onto the hardwood in Chicago, introducing the New Balance KAWHI exactly one year after Leonard debuted New Balance’s reentry into the hoops market with the OMN1S. Now, more looks at the product have arrived. The pair features a white mesh upper, overlayed by leather and glaze at the toe, and is locked in at the rear with a sharply-angled heel clip. The pair is rampant with the Klaw’s DNA, starting simply with his signature on the heel tab, a soundwave on the collar — presumably of Kawhi’s voice (possibly even his meme-making laugh) — and a mid-panel cutout that appears to resemble a fingerprint. The latter, along with the tongue and outsole all arrive in heat map-like hues, and the pair is completed with a bold red 3D NB motif on the heel.
