New Balance Gets Cozy With a New Padded Shoe Collection

New Balance Korea is getting ready for colder weather with a new lineup of padded footwear set to release on November 2.

Leading the collection is the New Balance Sleeping Moc, a low-profile winter shoe built around a voluminous quilted upper and easy-on construction. According to New Balance Korea, the design brings together outdoor styling and everyday wear, drawing from the look and feel of vintage outdoor footwear.

The Sleeping Moc will arrive in Black, Gray and Yellow, each featuring padded horizontal sections across the upper, a lightweight slip-on build and adjustable detailing around the opening. A fourth “Dots” colorway takes a more playful approach, covering the black padded upper in oversized white polka dots and adding a Mary Jane-style strap across the top.

New Balance describes the design as balancing a casual look with a more distinctive feel through contrasting colors across the inner and outer layers of the shoe.

Also included in the collection is the Sleeping Jane, which applies the same padded construction to a Mary Jane-inspired silhouette. The strap-based design offers a slightly more fashion-led take on the winter shoe while keeping the soft, insulated look seen throughout the pack.

The release continues New Balance Korea’s push into fashion-driven women’s footwear, following silhouettes like the Breeze and Winter Breeze that have already explored Mary Jane-inspired shapes.

The New Balance Sleeping Moc and Sleeping Jane collection releases November 2 through New Balance Korea. The Sleeping Moc will be available in Black, Gray, Yellow and Dots colorways, while wider international availability has yet to be announced.
