Roland x New Balance Numeric Relaunch the Tiago Lemos 808 Lite for “808 Day”
In celebration of the 45th anniversary of the legendary TR-808 Rhythm Composer, Roland has once again teamed up with New Balance Numeric to reissue the Tiago Lemos 808 Lite x Roland sneaker. The release coincides with the brand’s annual “808 Day” celebration, underscoring the lasting cultural impact of the iconic drum machine.
Originally launched in 2024 and met with immediate sellout success, the special edition sneaker highlights the enduring connection between music, skateboarding, and fashion. The TR-808 has left an indelible mark across hip-hop, electronic, and pop genres for decades, and this sneaker collaboration channels that influence into a bold, wearable format.
The Tiago Lemos 808 Lite x Roland combines performance design with visual cues nodding to the TR-808. While specific design features for the 2025 edition have not been fully detailed, last year’s pair featured black uppers with contrasting orange, yellow, and red accents—mirroring the color scheme of the drum machine's controls. It’s expected that this relaunch will stay true to those roots, fusing heritage with skate functionality and the expressive spirit of the 808.
The Tiago Lemos 808 Lite x Roland will release on August 8, 2025, via NewBalance.com, with a retail price of $114.99.
