Update 01.22.20 Ronnie Fieg has now revealed a second 1700 for his upcoming “Colorist” New Balance collaboration featuring a lighter, brighter aesthetic. It pairs pinks, blues, and greys, with the former working its way back in a gradient-like movement to light blues, and greys in the rear. The pair comes complete with light grey tongues, a pink-opped white midsole, and a dark grey rubber outsole. Fieg has also teased a handful of the accompanying apparel which utilizes the collaboration’s spectrum of colors and it’s gradient effects. Take a peep at the full set of teasers below, and look for these to hit KITH stores later this month.

OG Post 01.14.20 // Collaborative King Ronnie Fieg made a name for himself during the trainer come-up of the early-to-mid 2010s, thanks to an incredibly consistent and frequent run of banger collabs. His rise to the throne came off the back of brands like ASICS and New Balance, of which he delivered dozens upon dozens of efforts that are still talked about to this day. But while that wave has seemingly passed, Ronnie’s relevance hasn’t. In fact, he’s in higher demand than ever before coming off collaborations with mainstays Nike and adidas. So when Ronnie teased this new New Balance 1700 collaboration on the gram, it got us asking — is this the start of a trainer’s resurrection? some will say it never left, but Fieg back in business with Balance it kinda makes it official.

As for the sneaker, the pair is constructed in a vibrant patchwork of colorful suedes, focusing primarily on blue (there are five shades of it included in the upper) paired with pinks, magenta, and golden yellow. Of course, it wouldn’t be a New Balance without a splash of grey, found here on the collar, and the pair is complete with dark navy liners, staple white flatties, a white midsole plugged with pink in the rear and blue at the forefoot, and a navy rubber outsole.

RF did hint at a January 31st release for the pair, and we’re tipping it will be a KITH.com exclusive. Wait on that to be confirmed over the next few days, and until then, enjoy a first look at the Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 1700 below.
