Salehe Bembury's "Heat Be Hot" New Balance 1906R Pack Drops January 11
Salehe Bembury, renowned for ushering Crocs into a fresh era as the Creative Director of the Pollex Clog collection, is once again capturing imaginations. This time, the Tribeca-born design maven has teased the fashion-forward crowds at Paris Fashion Week with a glimpse of his potential latest creation in partnership with New Balance.
Taking to social media, Bembury showcased a duo of reimagined New Balance 1906R releases — dubbed the "Heat Be Hot" pack. This new offering is an artistic departure for Bembury, whose previous designs leaned more towards a monochromatic theme.
The upcoming New Balance 1906R presents an audacious design aesthetic. The sneaker features a vividly chromatic gradient across its mesh base, transitioning from a glowing yellow at the toe cap to a bold crimson red enveloping the heel. This exuberant use of color is a refreshing take compared to the understated hues in his previous works.
The classic running silhouette also incorporates greyscale elements that imbue it with a touch of sophistication. The sole unit and other overlays on the upper exude a sleek and lively metallic silver, providing a stunning contrast to the multicolor base.
The second colorway, peering through from the back, shows an equally audacious effort in orange, Blue, and Purple.
Both pairs will be available first on beaspunge.com on January 11, followed by a wider release on newbalance.com soon after.
