Teddy Santis’ Debut New Balance Made in USA Collection Releases April 28
It’s been almost a year since Teddy Santis was appointed as Creative Director for New Balance’s Made In USA division, and as he’s done at the helm of Aime Leon Dore, he hasn’t compromised a quick release to market over quality. Looking to re-establish the Made In USA division through considered products that highlights the heritage of the line, as well as incorporate new ideas and, of course, elite quality, Santis is finalyl set to debut his first New Balance Made In USA collection this Spring, headlined by a trio of 990 releases.
Doubling up as a celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the 990v1 running model, Santis prepares it, along with its sister v2 and v3 models in a mix of aged-look grey mesh and retro shaggy suedes. Though heritage treatments are kept minimal, the use of throwback white EVA midsoles, black rubber outsoles, and old-school branding cements the trio into it’s archival inspiration. Adding to that, Santis warms things up with a splash of creamy tan suede to welcome in spring.
In addition to the Made In USA collection, New Balance and Santis have revealed a full lookbook of classic American apparel, sportswear, and semi-formal attire.
