Korean streetwear label thisisneverthat may only just be making a name for itself in the States, but throughout Asia — and for any K-Pop fanatic — the brand holds some serious clout. Support from the likes of music megastars BTS (in their “Save Me” music video) has helped the brand rise above Asia’s youth obsession with low-cost fast-fashion fixation. Now the brand is back for their sophomore sneaker collaboration with Boston’s New Balance, adding to their “Physical Fitness Uniform” capsule with even more additions.
From joggers, beanies and fleece jackets, the pack is headlined by the iconic and ever-luxuriously finished 997. Ushering in the silhouette’s signature supple pig suede in light tans, the pair adds some punch through the use of buttery black leathers and liners. NB’s go-to Grey hits the profile “N” motif, heel clips and midsoles, with a black and grey combo rubber outsole completes the design.
Take a peep at the thisisneverthat x New Balance 997 “Physical Fitness Uniform” — and if you’re looking to secure a pair, you’ll need to head tothisisneverthat’s official website on August 29th from 10 AM to 7 PM (Korean local time) to enter the raffle.
