New Balance's "Mercury Red" 1906R Releases Nov. 6

The New Balance 1906R is the gift that keeps on giving. Despite no longer being at the peak of its popularity, the technical running model from yesteryear continues to build out its roster of styles.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, the silhouette will launch in an eye-catching "Mercury Red/Classic Crimson" makeover. The pair immediately evokes imagery of footwear offerings launched ahead of Valentine's Day, but it seems the impending pair is simply a compelling color exploration from the folks at New Balance.

Mesh bases take on the lighter shade of the mix, setting the stage for wine-reminiscent hues to take over everything from the inner lining and laces to the retro sole unit underfoot. Profile accents and structural pieces at the heel follow suit, creating a one-two punch of ruby-colored flair.

The "Mercury Red" NB 1906R releases via FootLocker.com on Nov. 6. Women's sizing is priced at $155, whereas Grade School pairs retail for $110.
