Nike SB continues its legacy of innovation with the introduction of the Nike PS8 (Problem Solver 8), a skate shoe tailored to meet the specific demands of skaters. Set to release this summer, the PS8 aims to tackle common skating footwear issues, from impact resistance during tricks to the crucial need for a direct feel of the skateboard underfoot, without sacrificing durability or comfort.
The design of the Nike PS8 incorporates a durable and breathable upper made from a combination of Flyknit and leather, all coated with a protective PU layer. The shoe's most innovative feature lies within its midsole, which integrates a unique foam compound. This foam reduces the use of rubber and includes a nylon plate to enhance responsiveness and board feel.
Additionally, the Olympic colorway of the PS8 features a striking Safari pattern on the heel, complemented by a monarch orange inner and heel tag. The laces are finished in vibrant chlorine blue, adding a pop of color that stands out.
Expected to release on July 24th, for now we can enjoy official Nike images below.
