Nike SB Dunk Low
Nike SB
Nike SB (Skateboarding) is a sub-brand of Nike, Inc., specifically focused on the skateboarding market. Launched in 2002 and spearheaded by the late Snady Boedecker, Nike SB provided a unique proposition for the skateboard scene. Backed by the biggest athletic manufacturers in the world, the subdivision was also ungoverned by them, allowing creative freedoms and expressions that are typically toned down for the other avenues of the company.
The Nike SB line gained popularity with the release of the Nike SB Dunk, a re-engineered version of the classic Nike Dunk basketball shoe, adapted for skateboarding with improved cushioning, durability, and board feel. Over the years, Nike SB has released numerous iconic models and limited-edition link-ups, and is often credited as the pioneer of footwear collaboration.
