Nike SB is rolling through the streets of nostalgia with a new Dunk Low Pro Premium duo dubbed “Muni,” reportedly inspired by San Francisco’s iconic Fast Pass transit cards issued between 1994 and 2014. Slated to release in Spring 2026, the shoes arrive in split-blocked colorways with standout suede overlays and a nod to local Bay Area culture.

Uppers feature a blend of bold and subtle panels across two pairs. "Lightening/Wolf Grey" and "Safety Orange/Baroque Brown" suede panels are split at the mid-foot, delivering one of Nike SB’s more playful and irregular design treatments. Swoosh overlays are rendered in reflective grey with black outlining, a design detail that adds to the layered aesthetic. Underfoot, a dual-toned midsole and outsole continue the shoe’s segmented theme.

While no official story has been confirmed by the brand, the color palette and name strongly suggest Muni’s legacy transit passes, which became synonymous with everyday movement in San Francisco before the digital Clipper Card era. Additionally, Nike SB graphics on the insole draw inspiration from the Muni “Ribbon” logo that debuted on buses in 1968. A branding hit behind the tongue nods to the “Worm” Muni logo that appeared on the sides of buses in the 1970s. These historical link adds depth to what might otherwise have been seen as just another set of split SB Dunks, giving collectors and locals something to connect with.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Premium “Muni” capsule is currently slated for a Feb. 6 at Deluxe’s store in San Francisco and other Bay Area retailers; a wider skate shop launch takes place on Feb. 7.
